Perham area MS Walk volunteer
Once again our MS Support Group is gearing up for our annual MS Walk. The Multiple Sclerosis Walk is coming to our area on Sunday, May 6 in Fergus Falls.
The Walk will take place at the YMCA, which will be wonderful since we all know how predictable the weather is in Minnesota. The choice is yours to walk indoors or outdoors with the distance that's right for you.
Registration is at the YMCA starting at noon and finishing at 3 p.m.

The local Support Group meets monthly in Perham with members from a Tri-County Area. The members come from Wadena, Detroit Lakes, and many areas in-between. The Area MS Support Group is sponsoring a team (The Go-Getters) and is looking for both walkers and people interested in donating.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease affecting the central nervous system. Its symptoms are very individualized from numbness, blurred vision to complete paralysis. It is not contagious, and it is rarely fatal. But it is unpredictable. An estimated 400,000 Americans have MS. Most are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, and about two thirds are women. The disease is more frequently found among people who grew up in colder climates. The cause is unknown and there is no cure.
