The AARP Volunteer Tax Program is getting ready to assist taxpayers with the preparation of their tax returns, including the Minnesota Property Tax refund. The AARP program prepares taxes for senior citizens and people with low to moderate income.
In Perham, the program will begin offering tax preparation on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at New Creation Church on Coney Street. The Perham site will not be taking appointments and will be walk-in only. It will be open on Wednesdays only from 10 a.m. – 4 pm.
When arriving at the site, bring a photo ID, social security card, last year’s tax return and any documents needed to prepare an accurate return.
