Empowering Kids holds first-ever soup and chili cook-off fundraiser

“Ladles for Love Soup and Chili Cook-off” attracted cooks and food-enthusiasts alike to The Hub on Thursday, Feb. 9.

PERHAM — Empowering Kids hosted its first-ever “Ladles for Love Soup and Chili Cook-off” fundraiser Thursday, Feb. 9, at The Hub on the same day that Giving Hearts Day was held. Natasha Lehmann and Brenda Eblen from Dynamic Duo received the most votes, giving them the title for this year’s contest. They will have their names inscribed on a giant wooden spoon that will serve as the event’s annual championship trophy which will be displayed in The Hub.
