WADENA — United Fore Kids Golf Tournament, presented by Wadena State Bank, is set for June 8 at the Whitetail Run Golf Course in Wadena. This 18-hole tournament will commence rain or shine. This year’s goal is to raise $12,000. Dollars raised will go toward the Weekend Feeding Backpack program at Wadena-Deer Creek Public Schools. Registration opens on Tuesday, April 11.
Hunger is an ongoing problem, and the Weekend Feeding Backpack program provides a boost of food for kids over the weekends. This year the school has serviced over 90 kids each week throughout the school year.
If you don’t golf, you can still support the cause by making a monetary donation to United Way's WDC Weekend Feeding Backpack program. Register at UWOTW.org or scan the included QR code.
