New York Mills Cultural Center offers new travel experience to Portugal and Spain

NEW YORK MILLS — The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center recently announced an opportunity to experience the art and culture of Spain and Portugal in 2024: “Portugal to Spain with the NYM Regional Cultural Center” is planned with EF/Go Ahead Tours, and will take place April 12-23, 2024.

During this trip, travelers will have the opportunity to experience the history of Portugal and Spain. Travelers will fly into Lisbon, and from there, the trip will continue to Porto, Salamanca, Madrid and end in Barcelona. There are numerous stops along the way to such places as Jeronimos Church, Time Out Market, Clerigos Tower, Casa de las Conchas, the Medieval Walls of Avila, Temple of Debod and La Sagrada Familia, among other sites.

Part of the cultural center’s vision is to celebrate the local and be a window to the world. In 2019, “Window to the World” was launched, offering a travel experience along with related workshops and events held locally. The idea behind this strategy is to offer both an actual travel experience as well as local opportunities to learn about another culture through hands-on workshops and group experiences right here at home.

The trip includes 10 nights in handpicked hotels, breakfast daily, four dinners with wine or beer, one wine tasting, one food tasting and seven sightseeing tours with local guides and an expert tour director. Travel will be by private deluxe motor coach and high-speed train. This is a specialized tour created just for the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center as part of the Window to the World program.

This trip is open to all; youth under 18 must travel with a parent or guardian. The estimated cost for the trip (including flights) is $5600. The tour can accommodate up to 24 travelers. Sign up by March 31 and get $100 off.
