Perham area college honorees

Perham area students from Concordia College, University of Jamestown, North Dakota State University, Vermilion Community College and University of North Dakota are included.

Area students earned academic honors in fall 2021.

Concordia College

Local students earned academic accomplishments on the dean's list at Concordia College in Moorhead. To qualify for this designation, students must carry a minimum of 12 semester credits and have a grade point average of at least a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. The local students are:

  • Dent: Casey Coste
  • Frazee: Delaney Matejka
  • New York Mills: Brittany Johnson
  • Perham: Alexandra Aadland; Nathan Kawlewski; Gabriel Thompson
  • Vergas: Alex Day

University of Jamestown

The University of Jamestown dean's list includes students who earned a 3.50 GPA for the semester. The local students are:

  • Perham: Talia Gabrielson
  • New York Mills: Karli Kawlewski; Daunte Leiran; Kenna Salo

North Dakota State University

A total of 957 degrees were awarded to students at North Dakota State University for fall 2021. Students in the local area graduated with honors; a student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher to graduate with honors. The local students are:

  • Frazee: Canton Matson, Mechanical Engineering; Daniel Willenbring, Computer Science
  • Henning: Colin Geyer, Finance
  • Perham: Jack Deconcini, Accounting; Kirstan Finn, Finance; Emily Holzer, Microbiology
  • Vergas: Mackenzie Ostlie, Electrical Engineering

Vermilion Community College

Local students were named to the Fall 2021 Honors List at Vermilion Community College in Ely, Minn. Students named to the honors list have attained a 3.0 grade point average for the semester. The local students are Isaac Lung and Abigail Tweeton of Perham.


University of North Dakota

The University of North Dakota announced its fall semester 2021 dean’s list, President’s Roll of Honor and names of winter commencement graduates. The dean’s list includes students whose grade point averages are in the top 15% of enrollment. Students must have completed at least 12 semester hours of academic work for the semester. To qualify for the President's Roll of Honor, a student must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.80 or higher. The student must also have earned a minimum of 30 semester hours and have completed a minimum of 12 hours at the close of the semester, eight of which must be for traditional letter grades.

  • Perham: Heidi Moe, Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Dean's List, President's Roll of Honor
