PERHAM — Everybody, welcome this mama robin to the Perham community. Nesting on a crate right outside of Jean's the Right Plant Place in town, this mother bird has created quite the stir.

Each year, when spring comes around, the plant shop puts its crates out front for people to take and use, but apparently, not just humans can use them. When this year's seven crates were slowly taken by community members one by one, plant shop employees noticed that a robin was starting to nest in one.

Unfortunately, that crate was taken too, but mama robin was determined. She nested in the last crate, which still sits outside of the plant shop thanks to a sign letting people know she's there.

This isn't even the first time a robin has nested at Jean's the Right Plant Place.

"We're experienced bird parents here," shop owner Julie Schroer joked.

They're making sure to look after her and keep her safe at Jean's. Though she started out with three eggs, she only has one left, nestled safely in its home of twigs as its mother keeps it warm.
