PERHAM — Several Perham and lakes area students were honored for academic achievements in spring 2022.
Mike Rohde Spirit Scholarship winners
Six Mike Rohde Spirit Scholarship winners were presented with plaques and a scholarship of $1,500 at a recent Sertoma Club meeting at Mabel Murphy’s in Fergus Falls:

- Hannah Polejewski
- Lacey Seim
- Mattea Steeke
- Grace Lang
The scholarships are to assist students with future education in their chosen fields.
Mike Rohde died of heredity heart disease in 2000, and 46 scholarships totaling $69,00 have been awarded in his memory so far. This was made possible by the donations of more than 150 people, the Fergus Falls Sertoma Club, the Mike Rohde Spirit Scholarship board, and the Rohde family.
University of Jamestown dean's list
The following local students were on the spring semester dean's list at the University of Jamestown for earning a semester G.P.A. of 3.50 or higher:

- Talia Gabrielson, Perham
MSU Mankato graduates
Minnesota State University of Mankato awarded 2,797 degrees to 2,467 students at the end of the spring 2022 semester, two of whom are from Perham:

Commencement ceremonies were held May 6–7 in Taylor Center's Bresnan Arena on the MSU Mankato campus.
Northwest Technical College student achievement awards
Local students received achievement awards during Northwest Technical College's annual Student Achievement Celebration on May 5.
- Jayne Whiteford of New York Mills, in gerontology, earned the outstanding student award
- Tyler Hanson of Perham, in residential plumbing/HVAC, received the most improved award
Northwest Technical College Nursing Program graduate
A student from Perham recently graduated with an associate degree in nursing from Northwest Technical College.
Jennine Colby was welcomed into the profession at a pinning ceremony held on May 5. Pins were gifted by Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota to 2022 nursing program graduates.
Upon graduation from this 64-credit hybrid nursing program, students are eligible to apply for licensure as a registered nurse.
