PERHAM — "Oh, we're going to win," Perham esports competitor Marcus Cupkie told the Perham Focus just last week, right before he and his team traveled to Grand Forks, North Dakota, to compete in the video game "Valorant" at the Fenworks 2022-23 Esports State Tournament . The team's confidence proved to be well-earned when they walked away as state champions for the second year in a row this previous weekend.
Teammates and reigning champions Marcus Cupkie, Levi Baumgart, Jaxon Pickrain, Aiden Burke and Jacoby Pokrzwinski earned a trophy and individual rings for their success. If you see them walking around, be sure to congratulate them on their win.
