Victim identified in fatal crash near New York Mills

Tracy Frost, 47, of New York Mills was pronounced dead after life-saving measures at the scene, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The name of the woman killed in a two-vehicle crash on Otter Tail County Road 67, south of New York Mills, on Friday was released by authorities on Monday.

Tracy Frost, 47, of New York Mills was pronounced dead after life-saving measures at the scene, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

Visitation for Frost was set for 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New York Mills. The Karvonen Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Funeral services were set for 1 p.m. Friday, June 17, at the church.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 27-year-old whose name was not released, was brought to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Alcohol and illegal drugs were not a factor. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The crash was reported at 11:12 a.m. Friday, June 10 on the 34000 block of Otter Tail County Road 67. New York Mills rescue workers, firefighters and police officers and state troopers assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene. Tri County Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care of Brainerd also responded.
