Distinguished Service: John Knight was presented with the Distinguished Service Award by Ted Meinhover for his many years involved with the local scouting program.

Gymnasts Win Triangular Meet: Perham gymnasts placed first at the triangular meet in Hawley on Feb. 10. Athletes who placed in this meet included Lyndes Johnson, Connie Shaskey, Kay Grismer, Karen Moenkedick, Julie Melgard, Judy Colby, Cindy Hammers, Pam Davis and Corrin McGuire.
Thieves Hit Public School: Thieves broke into Perham Public School on Sunday night and stole about $30 - $50. They also did another $50 worth of glass damage to the building to gain entry. The money was stolen from a pop machine, the boys' locker room and one teacher's classroom.

125 years: Perham and FF together at museum: To celebrate 125 years of existence, Perham and Fergus Falls came together to create an exhibit at the Otter Tail County Museum. The exhibit showed people and landmarks that each city had 125 years before. The show was on display throughout the summer.

Wrestling team records 14 wins this season: The Perham Yellowjackets wrestling team finished the dual team season with a record of 14 wins. They were 14-8 overall, and the eight losses were to the top-rated teams in the state. Up next was the Section 7AA individual tournament at Staples starting Feb. 21.

20 Years of Service: Denise Zepper, Sue Dunlap, Norma Bleichner and Monica Monson were celebrated and honored for providing 20 years of service to the Perham Memorial Hospital.
