A Henning man has been charged in connection with the July death of an Otter Tail County man.

The Otter Tail County Attorney's office says 48-year old James Seaver faces a felony charge of "leaving the scene" or "failure to stop" at the scene of an accident.

Seaver was the driver of a car, when one of his passengers, Dajun Honer, jumped out of the moving car on to Highway 210 near Henning. Honer later died from blunt trauma to his head.

Seaver said he didn't know Honer had jumped from the 2005 Chevy Impala, until he returned home.

Investigators conducted a forensic search of the vehicle after Honer's death, which is considered to be suspicious.
