To the editor:
Were you there? If you were at the band concert May 8, then you know what the talk of the town was about.
It was a superb performance by both band and band director. As I listened to the Eagles Marching Melody, I had thoughts and visions of precision marching steps, rifles, and flags. A tune that will forever stir the excitement and anticipation of seeing our Eagles perform.
The selection of music was outstanding as was the narrative introductions. There were stirred memories, awards, and a flute solo that brought a standing ovation.
Once again, Bill, you out-did the wow factor. I will miss the unending variety of your concert performances.
