The 3rd Annual New York Mills Lions "Pasture Pool" golf tournament will be held July 12 at the famed Balhepburn Golf Course, located just north of town.
The tournament is a fundraiser for NY Mills Lions projects and last year the event raised nearly $3,200 from entry fees, raffle tickets and individual games on the course.
Proceeds from the tournament will go into the Lions' general fund, where it will be used for a variety of purposes, including youth activities and community projects.
In 2004, when the tournament was first held to raise money for the swimming pool renovation, the event raised $3,600.
The tournament is open to all interested golfers, including those who have never experienced golfing over fences and the occasional sheep.
