The New York Mills community parade, which was rained out June 9, has been rescheduled for June 24 before the Rough Ride Rodeo.

The main parade is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. and will run the same route as previous years - start at Lund Boats, go east on Centennial, then north on Tousley and west on Gilman before ending at the school.

Anyone interested in entering the parade should contact Greg Esala at 385-4207 or email to gesala@nymills.k12.mn.us

The NY Mills Marching Eagles are scheduled to perform and band director Bill Brown will be honored as Grand Marshal. He will also recieve a plaque from KSAX, which named the NY Mills concert band the "2006 KSAX Strike Up the Band of the Year." The voting was left up to the viewers and thanks to an email campaign throughout the community the Mills band recieved the honor.
