To the editor:
I went to a wonderful wrestling banquet Monday night. The coaches recognized the wrestlers, cheerleaders, parents, statisticians and everyone else who contributes to its success. The one thing that was not mentioned is the coaching staff.
I have two brothers who are high school coaches, and I brag to them about the wonderful program we have here. The winning tradition speaks for itself but thats not the only reason I brag. I explain to them how refreshing it is to see a high school coaching staff that coaches every student from varsity coach Niemi all the way down to the grade school staff. These coaches go out of their way to try to improve every wrestler, that doesnt happen everywhere. I suspect its been that way here for a long time. I hope we dont take it for granted.
