Eagles drop close match
New York Mills came up on the short end of a close match Tuesday as they fell to the Wolverines, 4-3.
The Eagles won three of the four singles matches, only to drop all three in doubles.
The No. 3 team of Lauren Bach &?Kinsey Perala almost pulled out the match for Mills in a three-set loss.

The Lady Eagles will host HI-10 rival Perham today (Sept. 18) at 4:30 p.m.
That will serve as a tune-up for the Prairie Conference Tournament, which will be in Long Prairie on Sept. 20. Mills finished fourth at last year's tournament. Osakis is the defending conference champ.
The highest returning place winners for the Eagles are Trisha Loerzel and Chelsey Hendrickx, who teamed up to take second at No. 3 doubles last year, and Ali Slieter, who was second at No. 4 singles.
NY?Mills will return to their home courts on Sept. 23 to host Swanville at 4:30 p.m.
