This year's Ronald McDonald House ride has been scheduled for Saturday, June 9, and plans are well underway.
The campaign was launched in January, at a rally at the New York Mills VFW Club. Raffle ticket sales for a Harley Davidson are being sold now as part of the fundraising drive.
Last year, the Ronald McDonald House ride in New York Mills raised $82,500 for the House. The ride had 850 registered motorcycles with 1,200 participants (some rode double), making it one of the world's largest motorcycle ride events benefiting a Ronald McDonald House.
Other facts about the ride:
- In 2002, 150 motorcycles, raised $3,300, 55 gallons of pop tabs
- In 2003, 250 motorcycles, raised $13,000, 120 gallons of pop tabs
- In 2004, 450 motorcycles, raised $26,000, 330 gallons of pop tabs
- In 2005, 750 motorcycles, raised $63,000, 480 gallons of pop tabs
- In 2006, 850 motorcycles, raised $82,500, 1,650 pounds of pop tabs
