FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – An Otter Tail County man charged with murdering his cousin over a drug debt is headed back to Minnesota to face the charges.

WDAY-TV reported Michael Kyle Burris, 23, formerly of Fergus Falls, has waived extradition from Arizona and will be on his way back to Otter Tail County District Court to face felony second-degree murder charges for killing Scott Burris.

Kyle Burris’ father, 65-year-old Michael Alan Burris, is also charged in the murder of his nephew. The senior Burris is still fighting extradition, WDAY-TV reported.

The father and son were arrested in Arizona on Aug. 12.

Scott Burris went missing from Elizabeth, Minn., in May 2012. His body was found in the Otter Tail River about a month later with a single gunshot wound.
