The Ottertail City Council will continue to hold their regular morning meetings at Thumper Pond Restaurant for the duration of 2008.
At their September 18 meeting, the council decided to split their monthly morning meetings, with six meetings at Thumper Pond and the other six at Betty's Pantry, both in the city of Ottertail.
City clerk Linda Bjelland reported that after the council's last meeting, they were approached by a representative of Thumper Pond, asking if the council would continue having their meetings at their facility. The original arrangement was for the council to meet at Thumper Pond for their last three morning meetings.
Councilman Jeff Spanswick suggested that the council split the 12 morning meetings they have each year between the two local establishments. With three morning meetings at Thumper Pond behind them, that means the council will continue to meet there for an additional three months.
Beginning in 2009, the council will gather for their morning meetings at Betty's Pantry-- for the first half of the year.
