The Otto Bremer Trust has awarded $9,156,284 in grants to organizations in Minnesota, North Dakota and western Wisconsin as part of its most recent grantmaking cycle.

"OBT made strategic investments in a variety of organizations across the region, each committed to addressing challenges and opportunities in their communities," said Brian Lipschultz, co-CEO and Trustee, OBT.

In the Perham area:

• Empowering Kids Perham, Perham, MN, $35,000. To provide early intervention services, social emotional learning skills, and parent support to children with autism in western Minnesota.

• Kinship of the Perham Area, Perham, MN, $30,000. For general operations to provide individual and group mentoring programs for youth in west central Minnesota.

• Otter Tail County HRA, Fergus Falls, MN, $100,000. To assist with the construction of a child care center in New York Mills to serve the surrounding area.

• Productive Alternatives, Inc., Fergus Falls, MN, $50,000. To create a six-month transitional housing and employment program for adults in Perham.

• United Way of Otter Tail & Wadena Counties, Fergus Falls, MN, $14,000. For general operations and to upgrade technology systems to create healthier communities in Otter Tail and Wadena Counties.
