The booze business has been good for the city of Perham this year.
Based on financial reports for the year, through July 2006, sales are up more than $100,000. Profits are nearly $20,000 higher than last year.
Total sales at Perham's city-operated retail liquor store were $851,909 through July--compared to $753,386 over the same timespan in 2005.
Net profits for the year are $139,903. This compares to $120,159 for the first seven months of 2005.
In other news from the Perham city liquor store, manager Randal Hendrickx is planning to attend the Minnesota Municipal Beverage Association meeting Oct. 24 in Detroit Lakes.
