Students in the Perham-Dent School District joined schools from around the globe and participated in the annual International Walk to School Day Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Community members, parents and staff enjoyed a brisk morning walk alongside district students as they briefly abandoned transportation to enjoy the early-morning exercise.

"My goal through this whole event is to teach students about walking safety, as well as, promoting our youth to live an active and healthy lifestyle," said Student Success Coordinator Jim Kennedy.
