The Lady Jacket basketball team overcame a late run by Wadena-Deer Creek, and a pair of buzzer-beaters to prevail over the Wolverines Monday night in double-overtime, 78-75.
Perham was in control late in the game with a 49-40 lead and less than five minutes to play when W-DC made their run.
The Wolverines closed the gap to 51-49, but Perham responded with four-straight points. A pair of Rachel Pfeffer free throws gave the Jackets a 55-49 lead with 1:40 to play.

A W-DC 3-pointer, followed by a pair of free throws, and the game was tied. Tiffany Schroeer hit a clutch jumper to put Perham back up by two with 20 seconds left, but the Wolverines hit two free throws with 16 seconds to tie the game again.
Tara Sailer looked to seal a victory for the Jackets with a 3-pointer with eight seconds left, but Kendra Grothmann answered with a three of her own at the buzzer to send the game into overtime tied 61-61.
In the first OT, three Sailer free throws put Perham up 64-61. Two more freebies by Sara Formanek and Steph Miller made Perham 7-for-8 from the line in the period, and gave them a 68-65 lead with 3.8 seconds left.
But once again, W-DC had a little magic on their side as Brigetta Berg's three beat the buzzer, sending the game into a second overtime.
A pair of hoops by Becca Peloquin and one by Sailer made the score 74-70 with 1:30 to play. Then W-DC scored on a lay-up, then Berg turned a steal into hoop and foul. Her old-fashioned 3-point play gave the Wolverines their first lead since the first half at 75-74.
Sailer was able to retie the game with a free throw, then Schroeer finally iced the win with a hoop, offensive rebound and free throw in the final seconds.

The Jackets began the game with a 6-0 run, drawing four fouls from D-G-F in the first two minutes. The Rebels slowly found their game and had a 20-19 lead when Steph Wieczorek's 3-point shot gave Perham their final lead at 22-20. D-G-F outscored the Jackets 16-7 from that point on to lead 36-29 at the half.
Perham started the second half hot as well and another Wieczorek three, this time a bank-shot, cut D-G-F's lead to two at 40-38 with 12:30 left in the game.
The Jackets wouldn't score for another six minutes as D-G-F went on a 13-0 run that Becca Peloquin finally stopped with a lay-up. The Rebels (3-3, 3-1 HOL) would outscore Perham 11-5 over the final six minutes for the 20-point win.
Elisa Moenkedick was the only Perham player in double figures. She finished with 11 points, four rebounds, three steals and three assists. Sara Formanek pulled down a team-high eight boards to go with six points. Tiffany Schroeer also had six points along with five rebounds.
