Perham grad, marine promoted to gunnery sergeant

Steven Chase, a 2004 Perham High School graduate and son of David and Mary Chase, was recently pinned as a Gunnery Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps. He joined the Marines right after graduating from high school and is stationed in San Diego, Calif. He is currently serving at an undisclosed location overseas. In an email to the Focus, Steven’s parents said they wished they could have been there to see him at the time of his promotion. “We’re very proud,” said Mary. David is a former Marine himself.
