A Perham man was injured in a one vehicle crash after falling asleep at the wheel Friday afternoon in Becker County's Evergreen Township.
John H. Peterson, 74, of Perham suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
He was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger westbound on Highway 87 (near County Road 41 at Evergreen) when the truck crossed the eastbound lane and entered the ditch, then struck a field approach and vaulted.
Peterson admitted falling asleep, according to the State Patrol.
The accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. Friday on dry two-lane blacktop. The Becker County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
