Perham was just one set away from being on the opposite end of a 4-3 score. Unfortunately, they were on the short end of that set in their loss to Osakis last Thursday.
The Jackets split the four singles matches with Ali Pesch winning at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0) and Karlie Miller winning at No. 4 (6-0, 7-5). Perham's top doubles team of Leah Miller and Amy Pawlowski also won in straight sets.
The match was decided at No. 2 doubles, where Mariah Muer and Emily Wurgler were able to win their first set 6-4, but dropped the final two to give Osakis the 4-3 win.

Perham was scheduled to play in the Mid-State Conference Meet in Park Rapids on Saturday, but the meet was moved to Sept. 20 because of rain.
The Jackets will travel to New York Mills today (Sept. 21) with the hope of avenging a 4-3 loss earlier this season to the Eagles. Perham will then head to Mahnomen on Sept. 26 before closing out the regular season at home against Pequot Lakes on Oct. 2.
