Perham orchestra to be first to perform unique, new composition

The Perham High School Orchestra Concert will be Tuesday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m., in the high school auditorium.

The students will have the rare opportunity to present the debut performance of a new composition--never before played, anywhere.

Featured will be Holst's St. Paul Suite, The 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky, and Slavonic Dance #8 by Dvorak.

The brand-new piece written by Nathaniel Kroshus is called Tango No. 3 This is considered a modern piece with a lot of unique rhythms, chords and harmonies, said orchestra director James Weaver. The Tango will also feature saxophone soloist Justin Kennedy for this premiere performance.
