Perham collected a total of 14 aces and was 35-for-45 from the service line in an easy 3-0 win over Ulen-Hitterdal Thursday night at Prairie Wind Gymnasium.

A?pair of aces by Rachel Pfeffer got game one started. Later in the game, with the Jackets up 14-8, Pfeffer returned to the service line and reeled off eight points to put Perham up 22-8. The Yellow Jackets went on to a 25-9 win.

A pair of aces by Emily Rutten helped break open game two, giving Perham an early 9-4 lead. The Jackets led 16-7 when Chelsey Olson served four-straight points without U-H getting the ball back over the net, including a pair of aces of her own.

Pfeffer got the Jackets to game-point with a 24-8 lead, but U-H held them off until a kill by Schroeer gave Perham a 25-11 win.

Many new faces took over on the court for Perham in game three, and U-H?took their first lead in any game, 5-4. They went up 6-4 when the Jackets got their game together.

Mary Guck joined the ace brigade, getting two of her own as she collected six points for Perham to give them a 12-6 lead.

Katrina Moenkedick collected six kills in the third game, leading the Jackets to the 25-16 win.

Perham has now beaten U-H in each of the last six years.

Break in the action

After playing nine games before the first full week of school was over, Perham will get a break in the action over the next two weeks.

The Jackets will have had a full week away from competition when they travel to Lake Park-Audubon tonight (Sept. 11). Perham won last year's meeting, 3-0.
