The Yellowjacket wrestlers jumped out to an early lead and won the close match-ups in a 48-17 win at New York Mills Thursday night.

Perham won the first five matches, three by fall, one by major decision and a hard-fought 4-0 win by Jacob Werner over Brian Schornack at 119 pounds, to take a 28-0 lead.

No. 10 ranked Jordan Novak got the Eagles on the board at 135 pounds with a tech fall over Cody Soderstrom, but Perham won the next "toss-up" match at 140 when Barry Nelson pulled out a 6-2 win over Jordan Vaughan.
