Perham Health patients should be on the lookout for scam callers posing as representatives of Perham Health.
Perham Health said in a news release that it has received multiple reports of a recent phone scam targeting Perham Health patients in Otter Tail County. The scheme involves fraudsters spoofing Perham Health’s phone number on caller ID and calling patients. When a patient answers, they will hear a recording about being selected to receive a free alert system, asked to call back regarding a medical supply, or some similar message.
Perham Health encourages patients to be vigilant and always contact their local clinic using the phone numbers listed on its website perhamhealth.org/clinics .
Those who suspect they have received a fraudulent phone call are asked to take the name of the caller and contact Perham Health at 218-347-4500 to safely verify the identity of the caller.
