Strengths: One thing all of Dave Cresap's teams can do is play defense and give 100 percent, this Yellowjacket team will be no different. Perham will have several legitimate outside shooting threats, including Rutten, Mickelson, Dockter and Ziemann, who has to sit out 12 games due to transfer rules after he moved back to Perham from Kentucky. The Jackets will also be strong across the front line with Hunter, Huus and Johnson, a transfer from Pelican Rapids.
Season Outlook: Hawley will be a strong candidate to repeat as HOL champs. Breckenridge and Pelican Rapids will be in the mix and Perham's defense will let them keep close to anybody and they may surprise some teams by the end of the year. Those same teams should also compete for the Section 8AA title from the South sub-section, along with Bagley, Red Lake and Walker-Hackensack-Akeley from the North sub-section.
Coaches Quote: "Nobody who ever gave their best effort regretted it." Dave Cresap
