Perham has added depth with four more swimmers than they had last year. Several new swimmers are upperclassmen with good athletic ability, but not much swimming experience. They have taken to the pool and the workouts well and give the team great potential to greatly improve as the season goes on.

The top of the line-up is strong with Casey Grismer and Luke Hofland. Newcomers Gus and Casey Rutten, who switched over from basketball, will contribute right away.

Season Outlook:

As has been the case the past three years, the Mid-State will be a tough three-way battle between Park Rapids, the two-time defending champ, Perham and Detroit Lakes. The Jackets need to get some points from diving to compete head-to-head in duals, and the conference meet.

Fergus Falls, Willmar and Hutchinson will lead a strong field in Section 3A. Perham will have a number of swimmers pushing State qualifying times.

Coaches Quote: "This is going to be a great season."
