Perham finished fifth at the Mid-State Conference Meet, which was finished Sept. 17 after getting rained out on Sept. 13.
Staples-Motley won their 3rd straight conference title, taking first in five of the seven brackets to finish with 37 points. Pequot Lakes was the runner-up with 31 points, followed by Park Rapids in third with 28.
Lindberg was the top Jacket place winner, taking third at No. 3 singles. She opened the tournament with a 7-5, 6-0 win over Shawnah Fore of Crosby-Ironton, then lost a second round match to Sarah Thomas of Pequot Lakes. Lindberg finished on a high-note, coming from behind to beat Karly Dickinson of Park Rapids in the third place match, 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.
The No. 1 doubles team of Whitney Delaney and Emily Wurgler also picked up two wins, but finished fifth. After losing their first match to a team from C-I, the Perham duo came from behind to beat Detroit Lakes, 2-6, 7-5, 6-2, then beat a Wadena-Deer Creek team in the fifth place match, 6-3, 7-5.
Becca Huebsch at No. 2 singles, as well as the No. 2 doubles team of Danielle Brenk and Brita Sundberg, and the No. 3 team of Megan Shipman and Suzanne Coleman, all lost first round matches, had second round byes, then won fifth place matches.
