To the editor:
Sometime on Saturday, Oct. 21, someone took four political signs for Peterson, Nieminen, Klobuchar, and Skogen from my front yard. My first reaction was disbelief. After looking around my yard, in case they had just been moved, and not finding them, I became angry. A ride through the neighborhood found that the other party's signs had been left undisturbed. Although trying hard not to jump to wrong conclusions, I found myself becoming angrier.
It became more than the signs being removed. I felt as though my voice had been taken away. It is my patriotic right to dissent and express my views. I deny no one their opinion and ask the same respect for mine, whether one agrees with it or not.
I want my signs back. They can be replaced under cover of night as they were taken. It is my hope that the signs were taken as a prank and not as a way to disrespect my political choices. I ask whoever took them to please return my signs as soon as possible. Thank you.
