Police find meth on man arrested for shoplifting

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. - A Breckenridge man is in trouble after police say he stuffed boxes and paperwork from merchandise he was trying to steal down a store toilet.

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – A Breckenridge man is in trouble after police say he stuffed boxes and paperwork from merchandise he was trying to steal down a store toilet.

Twenty-three-year old Kurtis Silvernail was charged in Otter Tail County District Court on Oct. 24 with misdemeanor theft and felony drug possession.

Silvernail was arrested in the bathroom stall of the Fergus Falls Fleet Farm on Oct. 22. He was found in possession of a stolen Nintendo DS, a camera and two syringes that both tested positive for meth.

Police found a small scale, a glass pipe and multiple bags of meth inside Silvernail’s car, according to a WDAY-TV report.

Bail was set at $40,000. Silvernail’s next court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
