A new trophy case will soon be constructed at Prairie Wind Middle School.
The case will be 10x40 feet and will showcase both athletics and fine arts. It will also have a portion dedicated to a hall of fame.
The case will provide housing for a large collection of recent trophies attained that are currently scattered around the Perham-Dent School District’s various school buildings.
“Thank God,” Activities Director Fred Sailer said. “We’ve got trophies in basements, coaches’ offices and storage rooms.”
All proceeds and labor for the construction have been donated. Matt Muer is donating the labor for the brickwork, money has been provided from the concessions fund overseen by Brian and Connie Mort, and the remainder will come from the Wardale account. The Wardale family donated $187,000 in 2012 to be used on school building improvements.

The trophy case will be built along a wall in the cafeteria.
Construction will begin after prom on April 27, and the project should be complete before graduation.
