The five-person Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners will have two new members starting in January 2021, in light of the retirements of Doug Huebsch of Perham and John Lindquist of Dalton.
Facing off to replace Huebsch in Commissioner District No. 1 are Dan Bucholz of rural Perham and Betsy Roder of New York Mills. The finalists to replace Lindquist in
Commissioner District 3 are Kurt Mortenson of rural Underwood and Christine “Tina” Tungseth of rural Fergus Falls.
Current Commissioner Lee Rogness of Fergus Falls, who is seeking re-election in Commissioner District No. 5, is opposed by Angie Brown of Fergus Falls.
These races will be decided in the general election scheduled for Nov. 3. County commissioners are elected to four-year terms.
