The Richville Lions Club responded to Santa's request for a little gift giving help by delivering four bicycles and two bags of gifts to the Perham Area Chamber's Giving Tree.
Although club members don't know who will receive the gifts, they did ask that they go to children in Richville. The gifts were purchased using some of the proceeds from the end-of-summer Pasture Party.
Club members Arv and Shiela Widness have organized another community holiday event. On Saturday, Dec. 29 from 1 until 4, the Richville Lions will host a free sledding party. Richville community families are invited to bring their sleds and enjoy an afternoon celebrating 2007.
To keep things warm on a cold winter day, club members will be serving hot chocolate, hot apple cider, hot dogs, and tummy warming cookies.
The party will be 1.5 miles west of Richville on the north side of Highway 14. There will be directional signs on the road.

The sledding party and Giving Tree gifts are a thank you from the Richville Lions Club to the community for their help and support throughout the year.
