As a tribute and show of support for Bill and Dessie Parks, a "Roast" will be held Friday, April 20, at Mulligan's, at the Perham Lakeside Golf Club, in Perham.
Bill is battling stomach cancer and Dessie has also experienced medical problems over the years.
The "Roast" was announced at the April 10 Perham Area Chamber of Commerce "Power Hour" by Bert Nelson. Anybody who wants to "take a shot," at Bill, humorously speaking, was asked to contact Nelson about the Roast event.
Bill Parks has been very active in the Lions, holding numerous local and district offices. He is also a former Perham councilman.
The social will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner served from 6 - 7 p.m. There will be an open bar available. The cost of the meal will be $10. A program will start promptly at 7:10.

The night should be enjoyable with lots of "Bill" stories. Anyone who would like to share is encouraged to do so. The evening is not a benefit, but people may bring cards if they want to.
Bill and Dessie have been supportive of the community and the organizations that they have been involved with. This is a chance to say "Thank You" to both of them.
