Funeral services will be held for Ruth Schultz of Perham, Minnesota on Monday, May 21, 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Ottertail, Minnesota at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Alan Anderson officiating. The hymns will be sung by the congregation accompanied by Maribell Curtis. The honorary pallbearers are Tom Ahlfs, Mike Ahlfs, Mary Rotzien, Chris Schultz, Stephanie Carrier and Aaron Schultz. Ruth will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Ottertail, Minnesota.
Ruth Arlene Schultz was born the daughter of Edward and Mabel Pream on June 16, 1910 in Alma, Minnesota. Ruth lived in Ottertail Township and graduated from Perham High School. She married Eldred "Hi" Schultz on June 16, 1928 and lived most of her life in Ottertail, Minnesota. She entered the Perham Memorial Hospital and Home in August of 2002. Ruth had four children; Burke, Patricia, Steven and Jeffrey. She worked as a clerk at the Ottertail Creamery and the Ottertail Elevator. She was very active in the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's Organization and Sunday School.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Jim) Ahlfs of Ottertail; her sons: Burke (Joann) Schultz of Fergus Falls; Steven (JoAnne) Schultz of Ottertail, and Jeffrey Schultz of Ottertail; six grandchildren: Tom (Jean) Ahlfs; Mike (Amy) Ahlfs; Mary (Wayne) Rotzien; Chris (Andi) Schultz; Stephanie (Tyson) Carrier; Aaron (Monica) Schultz; and eight great-grandchildren: Jessie Peterson; Anna and Joe Ahlfs; Travis Rotzien; Wyatt, Lauren and Ryan Schultz and Hannah Carrier; a sister, Maxine Luhning and a brother, Paul Pream; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
