A 22-year-old man from Sebeka was sentenced to one year in local jail, and given a suspended prison term of 90 months, for forcing sex with a 4-year-old boy.
Edward Allen Stout also must register as a predatory offender, supply a DNA sample, have no access to the internet without approval, and serve 30 years of probation for the felony charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. A second count of the same crime was dismissed.
The court complaint said Stout forced oral sex with the boy at a residence in Sebeka in late 2010. The boy told a social worker that Stout had forced the sexual contact with him at a relative's house, and soon after the incident, the child reported it to his relative. Stout initially denied the charges, but eventually told investigators he "tried it once" but it "didn't feel right," according to court documents. He also said on a monitored phone call that he had touched the boy.
The prison sentence was stayed for 30 years.
