A semi tractor-trailer rig driven by a Detroit Lakes man backed into a State Patrol squad car Thursday morning in Otter Tail County.

No one was hurt in the accident, according to the State Patrol.

  Brian T. Gibbs, 48, of Detroit Lakes was the driver of the semi. The trooper was David Nohner, 49, of Onamia.

According to the State Patrol, the semi and trailer were partially in the lane facing westbound on Highway 210 between Fergus Falls and Underwood.

The 2013 Ford Taurus squad car pulled in and parked on the right shoulder behind the semi, using its rear arrow stick to alert traffic.

The semi and trailer began to back-up, striking the squad car parked on the shoulder.

The accident was reported at 6:53 a.m. on dry two-lane blacktop on Highway 210 at 265th Avenue.
