Out-of-control dogs ordered to quarantine

A complaint of aggressive dogs in an area near Deer Creek resulted in the dogs placed in quarantine on March 31. The quarantine will last for a minimum of 10 days.

A county deputy was bitten by one of the dogs when he responded to the scene.

The dogs were not fenced in or restrained in any way.

A report from the county sheriff’s office will be forwarded to the Otter Tail County Public Health Department. The county has an animal health and control ordinance in place. Any subsequent dog bites will be addressed by the five-person Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners.
