Sheriff deputies said a car chase ended with an assault west of Perham at 11:18 p.m. Nov. 12.
One person was arrested for fifth degree assault. Other charges will also be brought against this person, who is expected to appear in county court, Fergus Falls.
Deer hunting site thefts reported
Sheriff deputies reported thefts at two deer hunting locations in Otter Tail County:
- A theft was reported on Nov. 8 at a deer hunting location just south of the city of Ottertail. Taken were two deer blinds near the intersection of Highway 55 and 300th Street.
- A ladder-type deer stand was reported stolen southeast of Erhard on Nov. 12, at the intersection of 345th Street and 210th Avenue. An investigation was continuing as of Nov. 13.
Compact tractor, attachments stolen
Sheriff deputies, on Nov. 12, reported the theft of a compact tractor and attachments from a garage northeast of Perham. The thefts took place near Toad River Road, near Big Pine Lake.
Another theft was also reported near Big Pine Lake, at 440th Street, also on Nov. 12. It was unclear whether these two thefts were related.

Taken were four hand-made quilts valued at several hundred dollars.
