A rural Deer Creek resident had something delivered to his mailbox Wednesday that is even more dangerous than a credit card application.
A mail carrier opened a mail box on County Highway 73 to discover a handgun which had been reported stolen by the resident on Feb. 12.
Just prior to the gun showing up in the mailbox, a suspect in the case was questioned by a detective with the Otter Tail County Sheriff's office.
The reappearance of the gun was reported to the sheriff's office. The gun will be processed for evidence.
