ST. PAUL -- If you named your child Olivia or Jackson in Minnesota this past year you picked the top choice of parents.

As of Dec. 24. the Minnesota Department of Health’s Office of Vital Records said the top 5 girls’ names selected were Olivia, Emma, Evelyn, Ava with a tie for fifth between Nora and Charlotte.

For boys, the top five were Jackson, Henry, Liam, Oliver and William.

The department said some of the name numbers were close so they could change by the end of the year. Final results are expected in January.
