Preparations are underway for the 25th Anniversary Turtle Fest celebration - which will be held Wednesday, June 17 through Sunday, June 21, 2009.
The volunteer committee is searching for people to help out, especially in the following areas:
*Fundraising
*Advertising & Promotion
*Entertainment/Music

*Kids Games/Events
The more people that help out, the less work it is for everyone that is involved. Turtle Fest is a community event in its 25th year - help us keep it going strong," commented committee member Nikki Schumansky. "We have a small committee of volunteers that organize the entire event. It takes a lot of help from a lot of people to make it happen. We need your help. If you can help our volunteer committee by donating your time and talents in any way, please let us know - we'd love to have your help."
The committee is also inviting non-profit groups willing to head up events or activities to contact the Turtle Fest Committee. Turtle Fest is a great opportunity for organizations to raise funds and also have some fun, noted Schumansky.
The committee meets the second Friday of each month at the Station House at 8 a.m. in the Caboose Room.
