Two motorcyclists hurt in separate crashes

Two motorcycle drivers were injured in accidents in Otter Tail County last weekend. Jennifer Broker, 53, of Breckenridge, Minn. was driving her motorcycle westbound on Highway 22, northwest of Phelps Mill, when a deer came out of a ditch at 2:50 p.m.

Jennifer Broker, 53, of Breckenridge, Minn. was driving her motorcycle westbound on Highway 22, northwest of Phelps Mill, when a deer came out of a ditch at 2:50 p.m. on Aug. 11.

Broker attempted to avoid the deer and, in doing so, the motorcycle left the road and went onto the shoulder, causing her to lose control. She was thrown from the cycle and landed in the ditch.

Broker suffered injuries that were not life threatening. Her husband was driving a motorcycle nearby when the accident took place.

The Underwood Fire and Rescue and Ringdahl Ambulance assisted at the scene of the accident.

In a separate incident on Sunday, Joseph Rosenberg, 25, of Frazee, Minn. was injured after being thrown from his motorcycle. The accident occurred at about 9 p.m., near East Wymer Lake in rural Frazee.

Rosenberg’s cycle left the road and hit a rock driveway embankment. He was thrown from the motorcycle. Area residents assisted Rosenberg until emergency personnel arrived.

Rosenberg was transported to Perham Health and then airlifted to a Fargo hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Assisting at the scene were the Frazee Fire and Rescue, Frazee Police Department, Becker County Sheriff’s Office, Perham Ambulance and Perham Fire Department.
