Area veterans were honored at Eagle Pride Day at New York Mills Elementary School recently.

The veterans answered student questions about their experiences. Kids had an opportunity to give cards to the veterans thanking them for their service.

Darla Ellingson, CEO of the History and Cultural Association of East Otter Tail County, was on hand to talk about the In Their Own Words Veterans Museum in Perham.
